Reducing food loss and waste is an important target of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as a means to achieve other SDG targets, in particular relating to food security, nutrition and environmental sustainability.
On the occasion of the release of “the State of Food and Agriculture 2019. Moving forward on food loss and waste reduction”, there is a selection of FAO titles exploring the linkages between food loss and waste and food security, and suggesting ways of reducing waste while improving nutrition and environmental sustainability.
